Shooting Stars (3-6years)

Twinkle stars is a 30 minute creative movement dance class for our youngest dancers. These classes are designed to develop basic dance skills, as well as teaching class etiquette. Dancers will learn listening skills, coordination, and creative movements. For dancers aged 3-5.

 Shimmering stars is a 45 minute dance class that combines either Jazz/Tap or Jazz/Ballet. These classes are used to introduce younger dancers to multiple styles of dance.

All Stars (4-8years)

Hip-hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. In this class, students will learn and perform a Hip-hop routine for the winter and summer recitals. 

 

Acro/Tumbling is a class for students who want to learn gymnastic and acrobatic skills. Beginner students will learn skills such as cartwheels, backbends, and round offs. More advanced students will work on skills such as back handsprings, back tucks, and side aerials. Students will perform an acro/tumbling routine for the summer recital only. 

Boys may also choose to register in co-ed classes. 

Spotlight Dancers (6years+)

Ballet provides the basic frameworks for all other styles of dance. This class will focus on ballet terminology and technique through the execution of barre work, center, and across the floor exercises. Dancers will gain a clear understanding of body alignment, movement quality, and flexibility. Dancers will perform a ballet routine for the winter and summer recitals. 

 

Jazz is a higher energy class that includes a mixture of sharp and fluid movements, isolations, jumps, and turns. In this class, students will learn and perform a routine for the winter or summer recitals in one of the following jazz genres: Broadway, Street (Commercial), Contemporary, or Classic.

 

Hip-hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. In this class, students will learn and perform a Hip-hop routine for the winter and summer recitals. 

 

Tap is an intricate class that focuses on applying tap techniques and rhythm to music, as well as strengthening and improving their skill levels. In this class, students will learn and perform a tap routine for the winter or summer recitals. 

 

Lyrical classes allow students to explore partnering and weight sharing exercises combined with basic techniques and skills from ballet, jazz and modern. Lyrical emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics while telling a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract. Dancers will perform a routine at the winter and summer recitals. Available for dancers aged 10+, who have previously or concurrently take ballet.
